I have discovered so much about what my skin likes and it tends to go for organic products. I find that organic ranges are so much kinder to my skin.
The Evolve Beauty range of organic, vegan and cruelty free products is a discovery from a blogging event, which I have not regretted since picking up the samples. I started using this range as part of my bridal skin care routine. This is not like any other skin care range that I have ever used or tested.
I have always said that makeup artistry is an art. The face in front of you is your canvas and makeup is your paint.
I am sure that some of you, at some point have been asked to makeup for someone else, whether it’s a family member or a client. I am also sure that at some point you have had to balance/ manage the reality expectations and client expectations, when it comes to makeup application.
Often the person sitting in your chair has an idea of what they want from their look and have throught about its outcome, so when the reality of the makeup application does not meet the fantasy then the fault is yours.
It is important if you are a makeup artist/ starting out or do it for fun that you are able to manage the realistic expectations with that of the Clients.
Makeup is your most vital tool as a makeup artist, so having an understanding of your choice in tools and how they work is very important.
Being an artist is not just what it is all about, you must be able to learn different techniques and the understanding that this is an ever evolving process as a makeup artist. This means that you must be regularly researching and updating your knowledge of new technical trends in the makeup industry and new makeup products.
I have always known skincare was an important part of great makeup but until I decided I was doing my own wedding makeup I hadn’t implemented a strict skincare routine; tailored to my skincare issues and I didn’t really understand my skin.
It was important to me, as it would be to any bride, that my makeup looked flawless and in order to achieve that, my skin needed to be smooth and clear. Understanding the issues you have with your skin and what you want to achieve will help you to tailor a routine that will help create smooth, soft and healthy skin.
I am going to give you my tips and tricks and products that I use to get the skin I wanted and maintain it after the wedding.
The older I get the more I worry about skincare and the products I use. With extremely sensitive skin and allergies to everything in life, I tend to stick to the products I know work for me and those which are organic and natural (most of the times).
So! Lets talk about the products that I have been loving/ obsessing over the last year.
Skincare is such an important part of our everyday lives and people go in search for that perfect skincare product or routine to achieve beautiful, smooth healthy skin. I am one of those people, constantly in search of products to make my skin smooth, plump, soft etc.
I knew when I was getting married that I was going to be doing my own make up. I mean I am a makeup artist.
It is one thing working on a client than it is working on yourself. On a Client, you know exactly what foundation your going to use (usually a MAC or a well know brand) or the Client will tell you what they want. However, when your doing your own make up, you become so picky about the foundation and products you will use, to create that perfect look. I don’t know why this is, but you drive yourself completely mad looking for the perfect base. The base is the make or break of the rest of the makeup, you get the base right and everything else will fall into place.
Every girl wants amazing hair and makeup on a special occasion, especially when that occasion is her wedding day. I have never worn hair extensions before, I am more of a wig girl, so when I started looking for hair extensions for my wedding, it was safe to say I was utterly clueless. I didn’t know which brands were good and what to look for.
Who in the world does not know about Glam Glow! Even though I have heard of this brand being spoken about on every Youtube and social media channel, I had never tried it myself; not because I had didnt wanted to but because up until recently, it was harder to get this in the UK. Shipping cost are murder.
The one thing that I love about being a beauty blogger is attending events. To most people attending a networking event can be daunting, but I love them. I get to meet new people, brands and really put myself out there.
Launch parties are my favourite, I love being the first to see a new product, interacting with the creator and having the opportunity to buy the product first.
