I have discovered so much about what my skin likes and it tends to go for organic  products. I find that organic ranges are so much kinder to my skin.

The Evolve Beauty range of organic, vegan and cruelty free products is a discovery from a blogging event, which I have not regretted since picking up the samples. I started using this range as part of my bridal skin care routine.  This is not like any other skin care range that I have ever used or tested.

Managing Makeup Expectations: Realistic vs Client

I have always said that makeup artistry is an art. The face in front of you is your canvas and makeup is your paint.

I am sure that some of you, at some point have been asked to makeup for someone else, whether it’s a family member or a client. I am also sure that at some point you have had to balance/ manage the reality expectations and client expectations, when it comes to makeup application.

Often the person sitting in your chair has an idea of what they want from their look and have throught about its outcome, so when the reality of the makeup application does not meet the fantasy then the fault is yours.

It is important if you are a makeup artist/ starting out or do it for fun that you are able to manage the realistic expectations with that of the Clients.

Makeup Starter Kit: A Beginners Guide.

Makeup is your most vital tool as a makeup artist, so having an understanding of your choice in tools and how they work is very important.

Being an artist is not just what it is all about, you must be able to learn different techniques and the understanding that this is an ever evolving process as a makeup artist. This means that you must be regularly researching and updating your knowledge of new technical trends in the makeup industry and new makeup products.

Getting the Perfect Bridal Skin

I have always known skincare was an important part of great makeup but until I decided I was doing my own wedding makeup I hadn’t implemented a strict skincare routine; tailored to my skincare issues and I didn’t really understand my skin.

It was important to me, as it would be to any bride, that my makeup looked flawless and in order to achieve that, my skin needed to be smooth and clear. Understanding the issues you have with your skin and what you want to achieve will help you to tailor a routine that will help create smooth, soft and healthy skin.
